Postpartum Support

Postnatal Visits

Professional, unhurried check-ins to see how you're recovering and how your baby is doing, with practical support for early weeks.

A Care Connect nurse checking a mother's blood pressure at home while her newborn sleeps in a bassinet

The early weeks after birth are a time of adjustment for both mum and baby. Our postnatal visits provide a dedicated check-in with a midwife to see how mum is healing and recovering, while also checking on baby’s wellbeing, feeding, weight, and overall progress. It’s a chance to ask questions, receive practical guidance, and feel reassured that you and your baby are doing well.

Visits can be booked as a one-off reassurance session or as a regular series through the fourth trimester, depending on what your family needs.

A postnatal visit can include:

  • Checking in on your physical recovery and healing after birth
  • Emotional well-being support and a listening ear
  • Newborn wellness checks, including weight and feeding
  • Guidance on breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, and settling
  • Cord care, bathing, and everyday newborn care
  • Safe sleep education and gentle routine building
  • Answering the questions that come up in those early weeks
  • Signposting to specialists when additional support is needed
